Project Forward, a 501(c)3 non-profit, was founded in August, 2015, by Robin and Blaine Lewis, owners of Fleet Feet Roanoke. Robin and Blaine Lewis have a passion for helping others and giving back to the community.

Project Forward's mission is to allow the citizens of Roanoke to have access to good shoes and a means to move, ultimately creating a happier and healthier community.

Project Forward is currently fundraising for The Back to School Shoes Project. The goal of The Back to School Shoes Project is to outfit the 8,000 economically disadvantaged students in Roanoke City Public Schools with brand new shoes and socks.
