about the bands
JACOB PAUL ALLEN & THE FLOOD
Jacob Paul Allen is a singer/songwriter from Nelson County, Virginia. His storytelling and melodies plant him somewhere under the umbrella of "Americana" music. Having gown up in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Jacob's musical style was molded from a list of influences as intricate as the landscape of the ancient Appalachian's themselves. From 90's Country hitmakers like Garth Brooks to Folk legends like John Prine to Rock icons like Tom Petty all the way over to Texas troubadours like Robert Earl Keen. Jacob's music keeps the listener engaged and wondering what he's going to throw their way next. From whiskey bent bar room sing-alongs to love sick ballads that tug on heart strings, the lyrics flow with a gripping sincerity that takes the listener along for the ride that lies in the life experiences in each song. His 15 year career has put him on countless stages and in numerous music venues as far South as Belize and as far North as Alaska, opening for acts like Thompson Square, Dylan Scott, Sonia Leigh, Nic Cowan, The Hackensaw Boys and Town Mountain.

When Jacob is performing with his full band, that stage experience grows exponentially. The All-Star line-up consisting of Alex Arbaugh (Sun Dried Opossum) on lead guitar, Bram Crowe-Getty (Lord Nelson) on drums and Jesse Fiske (Hackensaw Boys) on Bass guitar, is no stranger to the local music scene of Central Virginia, and individually, they have known musical success on the regional, national, and international level.

Jacob released his debut single "Southern Love" in July of 2019 and he is slated to release his second single "If I Stay" in February of 2022. Working in the studio with his band, Jacob has plans to release more music as the year unfolds including a 5 song EP. Stay tuned in to his social media pages for the latest updates.
