      • Sales Representative: Northern Virginia

        Primary Job Responsibilities
        • Grow Sales and Distribution within Assigned Territory of Northern Virginia, VA (Fairfax, Arlington, Price William & Loudoun Counties)
        • Adhere to an Aggressive Call Frequency (Average of 50 Calls per Week) on Key Existing and New Retailers in Assigned Markets
        • Manage Call Frequency Based on Established Target Accounts in Each Market
        • Build Relationships with Wholesaler Sales Reps and Managers to Achieve and Align Sales and Distribution Goals
        • Train, Motivate, and Influence Wholesaler Sales Teams on Starr Hill Brands
        • Maintain an Aggressive Ride with Schedule with Wholesaler Sales Reps
        • Attend Distributor Sales Meetings
        • Use Internal Data Systems and Strong Analytical Skills to Maintain Existing Distribution while Always Looking to Expand Distribution with New Customers
        • Communicate All Sales Leads in a Timely Manner to Wholesaler Management Using Existing Account Call Recap Structure
        • Track Wholesaler Execution vs. Retail Sales Commitments
        • Coordinate and Execute Weekly Events and Tastings to Develop Brand Awareness and Engage Customers
        • Understand the Key Components of the Annual Business Plan (ABP) and then Hold Wholesaler and other Team Members Accountable for Results vs. ABP
        • Assist in Conducting Quarterly Wholesaler Business Reviews Analyzing Distribution and Sales Execution vs. Quarterly Goals
        • Ensure Wholesaler Execution Against all Chain Programs
        • Monitor Competitive Pricing and Communicate Pricing Opportunities to Sales Management
        • Identify Local Sponsorship and Special Event Opportunities
        • Represent Starr Hill at all Significant Craft Beer Events in Designated Territory
        • Help Manage the Brand Ambassador Program to Ensure that Samplings are Maximized to Line up with Starr Hill’s Key Priorities
        • Assist Management in the Monitoring of Wholesaler Inventory Levels
        • Complete All Required Reports with Timeliness and Accuracy
        • Comply with All Company Policies and Procedures, Ensuring that all Activities are Conducted within Local, State and Federal Laws

        Job Requirements
        • 2-3+ Years of Sales Experience in Beverage Industry (preferred)
        • Must Live within the Northern Virginia Market
        • Must Have a Car
        • Understanding of 3-tier System and Exposure to Retail Account Marketing and Management (preferred)
        • Technical Beer Knowledge Preferred (ie. Cicerone Certified)
        • Existing Craft Beer Retail Relationships (preferred)
        • Strong Connection to Local Market (preferred)
        • Energetic and Motivated with existing Sales Skills
        • Competitive with a Passion for Craft Beer
        • Ability to Form Relationships
        • Strong Communication Skills

      • Brand Ambassador

        Starr Hill Brewery’s Brand Ambassadors strive to spread our world-class beer and fun-loving culture throughout our distribution footprint, crafting great times and creating super fans along the way. Starr Hill Brand Ambassadors are motivated, social individuals who have a passion for craft beer and an outgoing personality. They are responsible for executing promotional events in the trade in evenings and on weekends. Brand Ambassadors educate the public about Starr Hill beers in the on and off premise and will be trained by and report to the Sales Representative for their respective markets. Brand Ambassadors are part-time Starr Hill employees.

        We are looking for Brand Ambassadors in all of our markets, including Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Washington, D.C.

        Pay is hourly and certain expenses will be reimbursed.

      • CROZET: Tap Room - Tour Guide

        Starr Hill is seeking a craft beer loving part-time Tap Room Tour Guide to provide amazing Starr Hill memories to our beloved fans and guests! You’ll share the Starr Hill Story and educate these visitors about the history, culture, process, and portfolio of tasty beverages brewed right here at our Crozet facility. You should also be an advocate of maintaining great cleanliness and safety standards at all times. You’ll need to ensure our fans and guests are having a fantastic time that lives up to the high standard set by our world-class beers. Having a strong appreciation of craft beer and our home in the Virginia Blue Ridge is also extremely important, as you’ll be engaging with long-time fans and new ones alike. If you love our beers and always thought it would be cool to share your passion, then we may have the perfect gig for you!

        Weekend shifts can include:

        Saturday: 11 AM – 6 PM
        Sunday: 12 – 5 PM

        Candidates should have strong written and spoken communication skills and an engaging personality. Experience with public speaking/group interaction is a must, as well as the ability to multitask. Must have open availability.

        Primary Job Responsibilities
        • Effectively communicate Tap Room Tour times and procedures to visitors, along with information about tastings and beer/merchandise sales
        • Provide tours of the Starr Hill brewing facility on the hour
        • Prioritize customer service and satisfaction
        • Support the bar staff, occasionally helping to serve customers beer in compliance with Virginia ABC laws and TIPS training
        • Complete all opening and closing procedures pertaining to tours efficiently, while adhering to our high standards of cleanliness
        • Maintain and refresh tour supplies as necessary
        • Help to execute beer and merchandise sales
        • Help to maintain a well-kept and stocked Tap Room and Merchandise Room
