Roanoke Hospitality & Back of House Manager
The Back of House Hospitality Manager will be responsible for operational and efficient performance of the tap room related to the back of house. The goal of this position is to maximize efficiency, creativity and customer experience to achieve the greatest possible financial performance. This position reports directly to Starr Hill’s Vice President & CFO with weekly and monthly reporting to the Senior Management Team, including specifically the Brewmaster. The role works in tandem with the Front of House Hospitality Manager to equally lead the hospitality team in Roanoke to success. Support and collaboration will be provided from managers in departments such as brewing operations, marketing and accounting with a view to maximize the hospitality experience.
TIME MANAGEMENT:
Approximately 16-20 hours per week on administrative tasks and approximately 20-24 hours per week in direct bartending shifts (with tip eligibility).

Maintain employee training including draft system and keg management, beer education, cleanliness and maintenance and excellent customer service.
Ensure staff compliance with all Federal and State laws, including VA ABC.
Coordinate weekly administrative tasks including beer ordering, supply ordering and coordinating plans with marketing initiatives in mind.
Participate in events and programming planning and execution in coordination with Front of House Manager.
Maintain a clean, organized, friendly and welcoming environment in all areas of operations, ensuring the highest quality customer experience.
BREWING OPERATIONS
Work in collaboration with Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Director to assist and participate in consistent beer production on the Roanoke brewing system.
Collaborate with production team for brand planning, customer feedback and beer education resources.
REPORTING TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT
Assist in the development of an annual budget.
Collaborate with management teams to ensure cohesion with corporate brewery strategy and with other hospitality locations (new brand releases, corporate events, etc.).
Participate in weekly and monthly calls with Senior Management to review ongoing operations.
Collaborate with other Hospitality Managers to share ideas and content for best practices.
