A decent-sized sip, a swallow, and a sigh: the universally-known and evergreen salute of a good beer tasted. There's no better endorsement.
It doesn't hurt to be lauded by the production team as the best new beer brewed. "The base IPA is perfect, in my opinion." Brewmaster Robbie O'Cain exults the straightforward malt bill that provides the brew's fantastically smooth body. These classic malts (Pilsner, Vienna, and Carafoam) lean back and let the Denali hops really shine.
A new variety sold by Hopsteiner, Denali has characteristically high oil content — making late kettle additions a cinch. The more traditional Citra, Galaxy, and Falconer's Flight hops support the distinct and delicate Pacific Northwest hop that lends its name. Hosting huge notes of strawberry, pineapple, and a hint of sweet wild onion, a pint of this debut exudes some striking aromas.
