The first time I went to the brewery on West Main Street, back when I was in college living behind The Corner. I never knew seeing that local band live there and drinking my first Starr Hill Jomo was going to change me so much! But that is what Starr Hill is all about. As Mark would say, his hope is that everyone tries a Starr Hill for the first time listening to a local band, and that is exactly how my journey started. I am sure that there will be many more to come, and I look forward to seeing several others try their first Starr Hill beer the same way!
Northern Lights and Grilled Baja Fish Tacos
Older stuff like the Dead and the Allman Brothers, right now I’m listening to a lot of Railroad Earth, Greensky, and The Infamous Stringdusters
So far, it’s been a great ride working for Starr Hill. Being able to drink a Northern Lights at the Dave Matthews Band Concert when they came through Philly in December was pretty amazing. It was one of the best concerts I’ve seen in a while. The whole culture and environment that Starr Hill has created is definitely something I’m proud to be a part of.

"Bartholomew" by The Silent Comedy
I arrived early for my job interview, and after driving for two hours, I felt parched and ordered a nice cold and refreshing Grateful. Before finishing the beer, I was called in for the interview and off of habit I brought my beer with me. It wasn't until a few minutes in did I notice I was drinking a beer at a job interview. No one batted an eye at what I thought was socially odd behavior; it was that moment I knew I was home.
Lemon-Lime King of Hop Imperial IPA and Smoked Bar-B-Que Pork Loin.
I’m a country girl all the way, so anything country from Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash to Chris Stapleton and Blake Shelton. My favorite song is “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice.
I just started with this team a few weeks ago, and I think it was day two of meeting everyone on this team when I went to my first “Hop on Tour” event. I met Bryce and Gretchen, and we drove an hour in the pouring rain to a restaurant with 21 of our beers on draft. The place was packed, despite the rain, and we had a ton of fun. It was a fantastic introduction to Starr Hill!
My favorite Starr Hill memory is IPA JAMBEEREE, getting to meet and bond with the rest of the Starr Hill family for the first time.
My first sale! And tasting all of the beers in the Tap Room during training.
Learning that Jason Porter (our Quality Assurance Manager) worked with my craft beer hero, Charles Bamforth (the “Pope of Foam”), at UC Davis. It was like meeting Michael Jackson’s best friend.
