We’re hosting a great morning of yoga and beer – the best post-workout beverage. Come to the Tap Room to enjoy a 60-minute multi-level flow class led by Lizzie Clark, owner of Hot Yoga Charlottesville. Afterwards, stick around and reward all of your hard work with a local craft beer – that’s what we call the perfect savasana!
This time, the proceeds benefit The Bow Foundation, supporting GNAO1 families, research and awareness. Tickets are either $10 or $15 recommended donation for a 1-hour session and 1 pint after class. Class begins promptly at 11:00 AM*.
*Please bring your own mats, towels, and any other equipment you may need.
Lizzie started practicing hot yoga in 1999 in Washington, D.C. The practice brought her relief from work stress and helped heal her injuries from a collegiate soccer career and long distance running. In 2001, an illness left her wondering why she was working in a high-pressure world that so poorly fit her dreams and aspirations. After attending teacher training in the spring of 2003, Lizzie moved to Virginia and opened Hot Yoga Charlottesville (then Bikram Yoga Charlottesville) the next year – and found her potential for happiness fulfilled.
Yoga has not only helped her recover from physical issues, it has allowed her to become a more patient mother, loving wife and friend. Lizzie loves being able to lead others through the series that inspired her to change her life for the better. She is so thankful for the Charlottesville community of practitioners and is looking forward to the journey ahead.
